 London is an exciting city that represents unique history, royalty, and one of the world's largest financial centers.  London has not always seen prosperity. The Black Death took place between 1348 and 1350. Over one-third of the population of London was lost to this horrible disease thought to be caused by fleas on rats. The Great Fire of London in 1666 was also a tragedy to this great city. This event took a hard toll on London's economy. Even though London has seen its share of problems, this influential city has always bounced back.

 Buckingham Palace is home to Britain's monarchy. With 828,818 square feet, this magnificent palace is a spectacular sight to see.

 The highest point in London is St. Paul's Cathedral. This 365 foot building has been the site to royal marriages and funerals. With its unique architecture and beauty, St. Paul's Cathedral will provide a glimpse of one of London's most intriguing buildings.

 Originally built in 1514, Hampton Court has been home to many royal families of Britain. Beautiful gardens, royal furnishings, and art, all call this fascinating place home.
