Famous for its tropical rainforests, Dominica is an island between the Guadeloupe and Martinique Islands, located in the Eastern Caribbean. Caribs were assigned a 3,700 acre territory on the northeast side of the island, which is still a Carib inhabited area. The history of Dominica has left a French-based Creole language as well as English being the official language.
